Cathryn Hoard is a teacher from America who has lived in Turkey for over 20 years. She has an undergraduate degree in philosophy along with her teaching credential and extensive training and experience in ELT. Since coming to TED Ankara she has given many workshops and seminars on such topics as: “How to Teach Thinking,” “The Effective Use of Drama, Music and Poetry,” “Creating Meaningful Contexts in the Classroom” and “How to Get Students Through the Whole Writing Process.” She has written songs for the TED kindergarten curriculum and guided students from two socio-economically different schools in a successful peer education program.
