Renée Diaz is born in Chile and moved to Sweden in 1986. In upper secondary school she studied Humanities Program and after graduating she moved to Hamburg in 1997. There, Renée studied German at Goethe Institute and worked as a preschool assistant. She moved back to Sweden in 2001 and Studied Child and Adolescent Studies at Mid University. 2003 she moved to London and made one academic year of Cultural Studies at Greenwich University. Back in Sweden she started to work as a mother tongue teacher and worked with children with native Spanish and English speaking students. At the same time Renée studied her fields in English and Spanish. She worked as a teacher and studied for a couple of years. Before Renée started to work at IESS as a Spanish teacher, she worked two years at an Upper Secondary School in Timrå as an English and Spanish teacher.
