Jale ONUR graduated from Üsküdar American Academy in 1970, from Atatürk Eğitim Enstitüsü English Teaching Department in 1974 and İstanbul University German Philology in 1979, started teaching English in 1975, worked as a translator for ten years, went back to teaching at Koç Özel Lisesi in 1989, completed MAT at School for International Training, Vermont,USA in 1992 and her Ed.D. degree at University of Bath, U.K. in 2008. She taught English and German as a Second Language, English Literature, Theory of Knowledge and Translation, founded the Model United Nations Club at Koç Özel Lisesi, worked as ESL Director, Middle School Director, Assisstant Head, and is Assistant General Director at Koç Özel İlköğretim Okulu ve Lisesi at present.
